Get clear and confident about your direction in life
Your heart aches to do what you love, but you don’t know how.
You feel unfulfilled in your life. You pay the bills, you take care of others, you carry out your responsibilities.
But you feel empty.
Where’s the magic? Where’s the meaning? Where’s the passion that sets your heart on fire? When’s the last time you truly lost yourself in doing what you love, engaged so deeply that you lost track of time?
You desperately want to follow your heart. But you don’t know how to listen to your heart, and you’re afraid that chasing your dreams will mean losing everything you hold dear.
Following your heart is scary. It will bring wild change.
But you don’t have to do it alone.
I can teach you how to listen to your heart. I can help you brave the waves of change gracefully, without going under.
I can help you find your path.
The Pathfinding Program
The Pathfinding Program is a 6-month one-on-one coaching program designed to guide you to your heart’s calling.
In this intensive, personalized program, I’ll teach you how to listen to your heart and receive reliable guidance from it. I’ll help you act on that guidance to make real changes in your life, work, and Work.
We’ll bridge that tricky gap between dream and implementation, between the profound and the practical, between woo-woo and nuts-and-bolts.
At the end of the Pathfinding Program, you will feel clear and confident about your direction in life. You will:
- boldly state your deepest calling with no doubt in your mind or heart
- be living wholeheartedly; your life will feel more like an adventure and less like a struggle.
- feel fulfilled in the day-to-day steps you take in your journey
- feel confidence in making tough decisions. Like the arrow that springs from the bow; no hesitation, no doubts.
“Thanks to the Pathfinding Program, I:
- left the city I felt stuck in and moved to a city I love.
- discovered a way to transform all this grief into my life’s work: I became a grief coach.
- practiced saying “no” to my family, and now I finally have time to work on my art projects!
- learned how to manage my overwhelm. Now I’m more productive every day and I feel way better!
- got past my perfectionism that was crippling my business – I’ve now published 21 imperfect weekly newsletters and made my first offer to my audience.
- overcame my hermit tendencies, I now leave the house to get out and connect with people.
- got out of analysis paralysis and am now pursuing a handful of career options that I think will be really good for me.
- worked through my fear and doubt to actually sell my art without apologizing for it.
- found my heart’s calling – to become a chaplain – and the courage to follow it.
- found the space, time, and energy to make music every morning, and it makes every day better.
- let go of what I thought I wanted (starting my own business) and am now doing what I really want: writing. I’m on track to become a published sci-fi author!
The Pathfinding Program helped me make a huge shift in my work and in my life, and to make this shift wholeheartedly. Work is fun and exciting again, and (almost) nothing is drudgery anymore. Best of all, I have no regrets.
I am more deeply in touch with my intuition. It helps me know when to say no. I’m more mindful and calm, and that makes everything easier.
I couldn’t have done everything I’ve done in the last 6 months without you, Pace. Your support, wisdom, and guidance made this possible. Thank you so much.
I’ll be able to help you best if:
- You’re sensitive.
- You know that you want to find your own unconventional path, not follow in anyone else’s footsteps.
- You are open to reflection and change.
- You’ve felt, at least once in your life, an inkling or an intuition that you have a path that’s calling to you. Maybe faintly, maybe strongly, maybe clearly, maybe mixed-up… but your heart, on some level, feels the pull.
Before I started working with you, I was angry, stressed, and caught up in my own world. Now I feel a completely different energy from this city. I feel way more peaceful – I have a deeper sense of awareness, and I’m so grateful for it. I’m not taking things personally anymore, and it’s such a relief!
I signed up for this program because I don’t want to go through the next 50 years with the same sort of blinders on that I had in the first 50. I’ve been drifting along the path, and now I want to create my own path.
I will be eternally grateful to you for the work we’ve done over the past few months. It’s been brilliant. I feel a change. It’s a new beginning, and I’m really curious and excited to see where it goes.
How the Pathfinding Program works
Finding your path will take some time.
It’ll take some time to get to the root of things instead of applying a quick fix that won’t stick.
It’ll take some time to teach you how to navigate your own path. I’m not going to guide you for six months and then leave you adrift; I’m going to teach you how to become your own guide.
That’s why the Pathfinding Program is a 6-month-long intensive program where we can work together one-on-one. We’ll have:
- 6 Pathfinding sessions, 1 hour each, once a month, via phone or Skype
This is where the deep work gets done.
- a weekly check-in
I’ll email you a reminder each Friday, and you’ll reply to my weekly check-in questions when it’s convenient for you. This is so that we can make the best use of our Pathfinding sessions instead of spending the whole time catching up on what’s new for you.
- weekly office hours and phone support as needed
Every week, I’ll be available during scheduled “Pathfinding office hours” to answer questions that come up for you between sessions. And if you can’t make the office hours, we can schedule a 15-minute call.
Are you conflicted about whether to sign up for Pace Smith’s Pathfinding adventure at this time? I need you to know that I was a bit conflicted myself. Do yourself a favor. Go for it. It will be one of the best investments in yourself and your future that you could possibly make.
How can I make such a bold statement to would-be Pathfinders? What you will find is a true refuge. A place of peaceful exhilaration. A group of people who are a lot like you–full of questions, fears, hopes, dreams, resistance, and most of all–love.
You can’t go wrong signing up for any of Pace and Kyeli’s offerings. I fully believe that Pathfinders is the next evolutionary step to living an authentic life in a better world.
What are the Pathfinding sessions like?
The Pathfinding Program isn’t one-size-fits-all. I can’t tell you what your Step A, Step B, and Step C will be, because your path is unique – you’re exploring territory that no one has ever explored before. That’s why I’ll custom tailor our one-on-one program to your individual situation and needs. But I can tell you the two foundational principles that I’ve applied to help every single one of my clients:
1. When your heart is out of alignment, gently bring your heart back into alignment.
2. When your heart is in alignment, take effective action to bring your work into the world.
Focusing only on the practical makes your life an uphill struggle. You try to force yourself to take action, regardless of whether it’s in alignment with your heart, and it’s exhausting. Eventually, you burn out.
Focusing only on the spiritual helps you find inner peace, but doesn’t answer the day-to-day questions of how to pay the bills, how to make the important decisions that are stressing you out, and how to turn your inner peace into something you can share with the world.
When we combine the two, when we bridge the profound and the practical, it’s poetry in motion. You find your flow, and your Great Work streams forth from you like a waterfall. What was once a struggle now feels like a peaceful journey, each step taking you farther along your path.
I’ve done coaching before. I’ve had tons of people try to “help me.” I had almost given up and thought that I was uncoachable. You see, I’m so committed to following my heart that I don’t want to follow what someone else thinks is right for me. But the Pathfinding Program has been exactly what I wanted and exactly what I needed. It’s been about uncovering what’s right for me, not what someone else thinks is right for me.
I follow a lot of gurus and entrepreneurs, and I want to have similar successes. So I used to think to myself, “If that person has success, then I need to do what they did.” I’ve been trying so hard to make things fit, but it’s never felt quite right to me. And what I know now is that if it doesn’t feel right, then it’s NOT right. It’s so hard to find someone who resonates so strongly with me, and now I finally have. I’m very grateful for that.
Over the course of the six months, the transformation has been so organic that it seemed a little too easy, even with all the challenges. Following your heart and going into that open space is so much easier than the way I’ve been trying to do it for the rest of my life; this way feels like flowing down the river rather than trying to paddle upstream.
When we first started, I remember feeling… not totally disconnected from my heart, but feeling a lot of anxiety and fear there. Now I can drop into my heart so much more easily, I have a much greater and deeper connection. The resistance and the voice of my inner critic are lessening because it’s so much easier to go ahead and make the wholehearted choice. Life has been more joyful.
It’s shifted my experience radically. So much has changed. The quality of my relationships has changed and the joy that I get from them is greater and deeper.
The Pathfinding Program has taken me out of my head and into my heart. Now I’m serving, and not just serving but serving joyfully.
And even though the Pathfinding Program is custom tailored to your needs, there are three things I guarantee you will need for this journey. We’ll work together on:
1. Establishing a nourishing spiritual practice
A lot of people never find their path because they believe they don’t have enough energy, strength, clarity, willpower, or “oomph.” They blame themselves because they don’t “have what it takes.”
It’s ridiculous to try to manufacture these qualities on your own – you’ll run dry and burn out. (Sound familiar?) I’ll help you tap into a renewable wellspring full of all the resources you need, by establishing a spiritual practice that nourishes you and fits into your lifestyle and worldview. This is the water that will sustain you as you travel along your path.
2. Exploring your Enneagram type
The Enneagram is a powerful tool for understanding your personality type, but that’s only the beginning. The Enneagram also points you toward the path to unlock your highest potential, and gives you a map for avoiding the obstacles that could trip you up.
I’ll help you identify your Enneagram type, and we’ll explore how it can help guide you on your unique path.
3. Reliably accessing your heart’s Compass
I’ll help you find and orient your heart’s Compass, and show you how to use it to guide you toward the path that’s right for you.
You can use your Compass to help you make the best choice in a tough situation, and come out of it with clarity and confidence. No more second-guessing yourself!
Pace knows her shit.
I used to be all up in my head, and I had let the other parts of me atrophy. Now I’m more integrated. My spiritual, emotional, and intellectual aspects are all present, connected, communicating, and working together. I didn’t realize how much I needed that. There’s so much more going on around me than I was previously paying attention to.
Now, when I encounter challenges, I bring my whole being to them, not just my brain. Like for example, if I had walked into a pediatric oncology unit six months ago, I would have just freaked out. I would think, “These kids are going to die.” I would feel powerless. My mind would think, “There’s pain, you fix it. There are things that are broken, you fix them.” But now I can make space for my heart, and I feel safe enough to do that. This week, when I went to the pediatric oncology unit for my younger son’s checkup, I felt more spacious and more able to just be there, without feeling the need to fix anything. I couldn’t have done that before. I volunteered in hospitals before and it was really hard. I always felt the need to fix people. Knowing that I don’t have to take on that “fix-everything” role is going to make me a much better writer and a much better coach. The job of all-knowing, all-loving Spirit is already taken, so I don’t have to fill that role myself.
Another example: When I’m talking to friends of mine, they talk about what’s going on for them, and instead of making recommendations and jumping to fixing their pain, I can empathize and talk about the emotional side with them. It’s deeper than just “here’s two websites you can look at.”
I really enjoyed our one-on-ones because I can just be a sponge and drink in lots of wisdom and insight that I need. In the rest of my life, I often feel like I’m in transmit mode, like I’m always giving to family and friends and people I work for, and I lose sight and direction of what’s really important to me going down the road. The Pathfinding Program allowed me to carve out those hours and say, “Here’s what I need,” and drink in what you know, Pace, which is a hell of a lot as far as I’m concerned. You have a really good answer to everything I’ve brought to you, even the really hard things… and that’s just amazing to me. It’s an honor to learn from someone who’s so wise and has a real ability to offer the right words or wisdom or clarify something that I’ve had jumbling around in my head. You condense my 500-word ramble into 4 words and it seems so much clearer and possible to act on.
Also, I receive more from the world than I used to. For example, at the hospital, I’m more able to listen and hear what they have to offer because I’ve been tending to those parts of myself, not just my head but also emotionally.
The Pathfinding Program has been great for me. I’m a lot more aware of my path than I was when I started. It’s been a real honor.
My promise to you
I promise to be gentle. If a kick in the pants is called for, I promise to kick as gently and compassionately as possible. (: I promise to treat everything you say as sacred and confidential. I know it’s hard, and I want to help. I know that you have a light inside you that’s bursting to get out, and I want to help you shine!
In working with you, Pace, I’ve learned to trust myself. When we started working together, I was all caught up in my head. Now I’m in touch with my heart, regularly and deeply.
I’m not totally left brained or right, I’m right down the middle. I’m a Jill of All Trades. I felt bad that I didn’t have this one major talent, this obvious “THIS IS YOUR CALLING” sign lit up in neon lights.
But one of the things I loved most about working with you is that you have a way of getting to know each person and learning what works for them. We tried lots of new things, and I never had an “Eww, that was awful” experience. You’re so intuitive that it just comes to you. You never second-guessed yourself, you just pulled out whatever was needed from Pace’s Bag of Magic. And that’s what I needed – a little bit of lots of different kinds of magic.
If we hadn’t been working together, I would be hating myself right now. I would be curled up in a ball, grieving (or avoiding grieving) and hating myself. You helped me through that. You weren’t afraid to witness any of that grief. You leaned into the discomfort, you helped me sit with my feelings instead of judging them. And now I’ve come out the other side and I’m taking a leap of faith.
Now I have that boldness and clarity that was the reason I signed up, because I have that self-trust that I didn’t have before. You’ve been a true blessing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
How much does it cost?
The 6-month Pathfinding Program is $2850, payable either in one chunk, or in 6 installments of $475/month. Either way is totally fine.
Is now the right time?
Have you ever heard an inspirational story of someone who turned their life around? Of someone who followed their heart, focused on what’s really important in life, and chose to live a wild, crazy, meaningful life?
I’ll bet you I know the turning point of their story. I bet it goes a little something like this:
- “I was in a car crash and almost died. That was when I decided to turn my life around…”
- “I was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors told me I only had 6 months to live. That was when I stopped trying to live the life others expected me to…”
- “I lost a loved one. That was when I realized that I only have this one wild and precious life…”
When I began the Pathfinding Program I was ready to give up my lifelong dream to write a novel. Now I’m writing again and happy about it. Having fun, too!
I felt very safe with Pace. She got me to try exercises with her I never, ever would have done with someone else. And I loved her wise and kind insights. She helped me to look at situations so differently I would be speechless for a few minutes and then only murmur, “Wow!” or “Ahhhh…. yes!”
Thank you, Pace! You were what I needed at exactly the right time!
Are you waiting for the car crash?
You don’t have to wait until the Universe smacks you with a clue-by-four and forces you onto your path. You can choose to take your first step with your eyes wide open, on your terms.
You can choose to find your own path. Right now.
I can’t guarantee it will be easy, but I can guarantee it will be much less painful than a car crash. (:
Even if a sky full of crap is landing in my lap, I’m now willing and able to show up from a place of love and joy. I was inspired to sign up for the Pathfinding Program because I’ve been watching what you do and I wanted to do things like that, too. Now I realize that I can do things like that, and I can also do my own things in my own way. Here at the end of the Pathfinding Program, I feel like we’re at the edge of the woods, and I’m putting snacks into my backpack and saying, “Yo, we can do this.” It’s an amazing feeling. My awareness has grown so much, and I have so much more clarity. I feel such deep gratitude to have had this wonderful, open space where I could show up and be courageous. I would not have made such progress without you, Pace. Your laser focus on whatever was blocking me on my path, and getting to the root of that. It was never painful. Emotion comes up, but there’s so much love. You’re really, really wonderful.
Energetically I feel different; I don’t feel heavy anymore. I know my kids have sensed the difference too.
I even experienced physical healing during some of our sessions. I had red, burning, itching eyes, and during our third session, my eyes stopped itching. And in our last session, I had a pain in my lower back that went away. It’s like this energy stuff is real or something!
Remembrance and the Heart Compass are wonderful, wonderful tools, and so easy to go to. Just that simple hand on the heart and deep breath has made such a difference in my life.
This was the best investment I’ve made. Thank you so much. I would not be stepping up if it weren’t for you. You rock!
