When you feel like you’re going round in circles, you’re actually making progress in the spiral.

Growth, self-work, challenges, and grief take us round and round until we’re dizzy. It’s like walking in the woods and seeing the same damn tree over and over.

But that’s not what’s actually happening.

It’s actually a spiral. (3:18)

The next time you feel that old familiar sense of circling, when you start to recognize the scenery and get frustrated with what feels like a lack of progress, take a deep breath. Lean into the spiral, and know that you are exactly where you need to be, right now. Trust that all spirals have an end – and eventually, you’ll get where you’re going.

And name that boulder. It’ll be like seeing an old friend instead of an annoying landmark. (;

Feel clear and confident about your direction in life!
